The XC race is on hold due to renovations until further notice.

Effective immediately our DH bike park will be moving away from a lift accessible and "full suspension" trail design to one that caters to all riders, with an emphasis on "XC" ridership. While The Rock takes pride that it has been voted #1 Bike Park in the Midwest for the last two years, the current business model doesn't support itself, nor does it offer the surrounding MTB community an option that best reflects the type of ridership in the Metro Milwaukee area. MTB riders of all abilities are now welcome to come ride the bike park for $5 a day or $50 for a season pass. Riders are asked to ride at their own risk and pay on the honor system. A drop box is located on the bike park building. NOTE: We will be continuing the weekly Wednesday evening XC MTB Race Series. Our trails are now self-serve and on the honor system. This means that there are no Rock Sports Complex employees for the bike park trails. In addition, the downhill mountain biking features have been removed. Instructions for the usage of our trail are as follows:

  • Fill out your waiver form in its entirety – you only need to fill this out once per season.
  • Drop your rider fee in the drop box. Rider fees are $5 for a one-time pass, and $50 for an unlimited ride season pass.
  • RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK. There is no Bike Patrol.
  • Not paying the fee or signing the waiver is considered trespassing.
  • The Rock Bike Park is open sunrise to dusk.
  • Trails are closed during inclement weather.

If you need assistance, there are a few places you can seek help. The lodge will often have TR employees. You can also try The Umbrella Bar as well as the baseball fields. All staff will do their best to assist you with your needs. The Rock Sports Complex Take your biking experience to the next level on The Rock’s new professionally built bike parks – Pro spec BMX track, the Midwest’s only gravity bike park and over seven miles of cross country mountain bike trails. The Rock Bike Parks has something for everyone from the beginner to professional level.

The Rock Sports Complex

Milwaukee Bike Park at the Rock – Franklin, WI

BMX Races, Mountain Bike Trail Riding and Chair Lift Downhill Gravity Biking

If you’ve been jonesing for some fresh riding in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, you’ve found it. The Rock has everything from an Olympics caliber BMX track to gravity-fueled downhill runs -- with miles of cross-country trails and skills practice areas for good measure. All crafted by the top design teams in the world. We’re bike savvy, family-friendly and ready to help take your riding to new levels.

Moms and Dads--why not bring the kids out and introduce them, and yourselves, to the exhilarating sport of downhill mountain biking? Our rental fleet has bikes for everyone from six-year-olds to adults, as well as helmets, gloves and padding to help keep everyone safe. We even offer coached lessons to get beginners up to speed with downhill bike handling skills. If your little grommets are already flying off curbs and ramps on their BMX bikes, they’re ideal candidates for The Rock’s BMX race series

Our chairlift takes a lot of the grinding and grunting out of downhilling, but if pedaling uphill is your thing you can opt for a reduced rate no-lift access pass and climb to your heart’s content. We’re adjacent to the Alpha Trail in Whitnall Park, so you can add a loop there to get in more miles. And for cross-country greyhounds looking to put their mettle to the pedal, our Wednesday night XC Challenge race series runs all summer.

After a day on the dirt, sit back and relax on the outdoor patio at the Umbrella Bar while you watch a ball game on one of the baseball fields below. Or grab an adult beverage and a snack at Tap Works, our beer and wine tasting saloon. Everything tastes better after a day of riding, and besides—you’ve earned it.

No matter what kind of off-road biking you’re into, c’mon out and give The Rock a spin!
